Diabetes Association

of Trinidad & Tobago

The Diabetes Association of Trinidad and Tobago (DATT) has been a member of the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) since the year 1991. According to the IDF, approximately 415 million people have diabetes in the world and more than 44.3 million people in the NAC Region; by 2040 this will rise to 60.5 million.

 

The Diabetes Association of Trinidad and Tobago was founded on July 2, 1988 and was incorporated by an Act of Parliment (Act No. 15 of 1989) as a charitable, voluntary, community organization. Currently they have twenty-three branches throughout Trinidad & Tobago.
