Trinidad and Tobago NCD Alliance (TTNCDA) was awarded a grant by the NCD Alliance’s Solidarity Fund for NCDs and COVID-19 for a project which promoted joint action by People Living With NCDs (PLWNCDs) and the Trinidad and Tobago NCD Alliance (TTNCDA) to secure their rights to optimal healthcare for the control of NCDs.
The goal of the project was to ensure that PLWNCDs were advocating actively for their rights and for the conditions necessary for the prevention and control of the NCDs and their risk factors, during the COVID-19 pandemic. This was done through:

the development a shared advocacy strategy for NCD prevention and control during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Implementation of a multi-media campaign for educating PLWNCDs on the importance of, and approaches to, the control of NCDs during the COVID-19 pandemic.
